Just wondering how they made out with the storm. The first time we visited the island was about 1990 or 1991 just after a horrible hurricane that had destroyed the resort and there was nothing left but the foundations of the accommodations. The remainder of the beach hotels and vendors along orient beach were also scrubbed from the beach. It took 10 years or more for it all to be re - built.

Basicslly, destroyed. Most units washed away. Some pieces standing papagayos but doubts about its integrity.

There is a thread with pictures and one with an interview of Manager Steve somewhere here on the board

Sad.
