We are back from another great trip to St. Martin. We split beach time between Cupecoy and Orient. There was plenty of sand at Cupecoy, and Orient was beautiful as always and was quiet and laid back. We had a lot of good meals. Pizza Pasta again served up some of the world’s best pizza. Lee’s was disappointing this trip. They changed their potato salad, and the fish was overcooked with changes in the flavoring. Hopefully we just caught them on an off night. We had a great meal at the Green House in Simpson Bay, and had the best coladas we have had on the island. The prior best for us were made by Raymond’s daughter about 5 years back on Bay Rouge. Happy hour was from 4 to 7, with appetisers than also $3 off. The service at the Green House was outstanding and the Thursday night prime rib special was excellent. Chesterfield’s at Philipsburg was very good, the service was great, and the view was spectacular. Le Moulin Fou near Cheri’s was also good but more expensive than the other restaurants.
A highlight of the trip was a massage by Joaline’s Heavenly Touch. Joanne and her “sister” Linda gave a four hands aloe massage on Cupecoy that was so good that midway through the massage I wasn’t even sure what day it was! I’ll definitely do that again. If interested, PM us and we can give you a phone number to reach Joanne and Linda on the island.
The top highlight of our great trip was boating with Peggy and Paul. While snorkeling we saw eagle rays, sea turtles, many colorful fish, saw dolphins on the trip, and had outstanding water clarity. St. Martin isn’t considered a prime spot for snorkeling, but Peggy and Paul have a couple snorkel spots that compare very favorably with celebrated snorkeling elsewhere in the islands. The trip is always a great way to meet new friends, or have a great day with friends from prior trips. Paul is an outstanding captain and everyone can totally relax with confidence of complete safety on the water. Peggy is a fun cruise director, and as a team Peggy and Paul make sure the trip is the highlight of your vacation. We can’t imagine not including a trip with Peggy and Paul on our future vacations to St. Martin.
