This was a "hot" topic not too long ago. I recently heard that the project is dead. Has anyone seen or heard authorized confirmation of this?

I think many of us are wondering, but realistically, and I’m merely thinking out loud, would it be a wise move to invest that kind of money on an island that is only starting to recover from a very major disaster and still has a very long way to go?

I know absolutely nothing about the project, other than what has been posted in the newspapers. However, it seems to me that was a project of PM Marlin. With the current political climate (whatever that might be!! ), perhaps it will not be built after all.
