Somewhere out there

The other evening I was arriving at DFW about 8pm. Global Entry closes at 6pm according to a sign. So I used the Mobile APP (which is faster than GE), my image seemed to bring up my wife's info so I had to go see a man in another room. He did a lot of typing (I think he was shopping), and then he swiped my passport and I was done.
Then at DFW the Precheck (which used to be above international arrivals) has now moved to gate D30 about 100 yards to the right and worth the walk (no signs tell you this). At Precheck I got selected for a random screen of just my hands, not my bags.
Basically the whole issue only added a few minutes, but was just interesting.
