Not a thing. Oh, and my understanding is there are now NO motorized golf carts although that may be old news by now. There weren’t many before Irma but the word is what few they had were destroyed and they are all pull carts at this time.

No clue, Leona. But that’s the least of my concerns with regard to the Tower(s).
I did hear they haven’t done anything there yet and the word is, the roof holes aren’t even covered with tarps. No way they’ll be open in April IMHO. I really hope what I’m hearing is wrong.

I know. I saw some recent photos, and that 8th floor is exposed on more than one side. There goes our Penthouse. I've dreaded making "that" phone call, and really have no desire to possibly make the decision to walk away. They owe me a week from 2017, and there is no way in H.E.Doubletoothpicks that I am paying 3 maintenance fees for 2018. OR any assessment.

So sorry to hear that about the Towers, ladies. It's always been thought of as one of the most well run timeshares in SXM. I hope it works out for you.. Royal Islander also seems to be very slow with getting any information out to their t/s owners, which is also very surprising.

Aloha, I talked to The Towers just before New Years and the update they gave me was that they expected repairs to begin in mid January and that the goal was to have it done in April. I wouldn't bet a dollar on it but they were very easy to talk to and gave me what information they could. No slight of hand, possibly an over optimistic timeline. I called because I was hoping for a week there in May, but their timeline is too close to consider it as real option. They did state for me to check back with them in early Feb to get an update on a timeline.
I have considered giving up this unit since the cost for a 1 bedroom has gone up to $1025 or close to that but we like the place and the staff and ease of talking to them just keeps me an owner there. Cheers, Todd

Yes. Week 47, that is the week I hoped to use in May. I get the frustration by the owners, but from the conversation I had I have no reason yet to assume that they are not telling me the truth. I would imagine getting insurance money as well as a construction company takes some time. If the even open by June that would be better than I might of expected. If construction doesn't start by Feb then there will be more to talk about. I am hoping for the best. Cheers, Todd

I’m not sure the Towers charges any late fees.
Last year, to the best of my knowledge and for whatever their reason, they never did send out bills and merely required owners pay their fees prior to occupancy of their respective units and weeks. Those of us who paid early and choose not to be be RCI members are being asked to pay the 2018 fees in advance to use our left-over weeks from 2017.
The Towers staff will, I’m sure, work this all out and eventually we’ll all be happy but for now, it’s unsettling NOT to know what’s happening.
Respectfully,
pat
