We are considering staying over in St. Barts for 3 or 4 nights this summer as part of our trip to SXM. Can anyone provide an update (or a link to an update) on hotels, restaurants and beaches post Irma?

St Barth is recovering faster than SXM. Most of the 5-star hotels are closed until at least this summer. The Christopher was about to reopen, but had an electrical fire in one of their restaurants which will keep them closed until fall. Villa Marie (formerly Francois Plantation) reopened a few weeks ago. Manapany reopened on Tuesday. Hotel le Village is open, as are Les Islets de la Plage, and several other small hotels. For beachfront restaurants, choices are slim. Shellona is open, Nikki Beach is not. La Plage at Tom Beach is not, nor is La Gloriette. Virtually all of the other restaurants, with the exception of those in the closed 5-star hotels, are open. Give 'em a few months, and more will reopen.
