I walked back to the distillery last week. There is a new roof on the building and construction appears to be still underway on other repairs. It did not appear they were open yet.

Sadly the whole area around the distillery looks like a full blown junk yard with wrecked cars and boats everywhere. It would be nice if the Callwoods would do some cleanup or the government removed some of the debris if they want tourists to stop by..not too inviting right now even if they do open the distillery. The one place that really impressed us on Cane was Rhymer's. Patsy has put that place back better than ever..and boy did we get a warm welcome..hugs, tears and all. And the foods pretty good too..Rooms are open and available..
