Glad you enjoyed your evening. The food at Karakter had been kind of off recently. Hopefully they are back on track.

Just one letter changes the meaning. "Pure silt", did you mean "pure silk"? Lol I used to enjoy Karakters. Spent many days and loads of $$. No longer. Loungers became too close. Food lacking. And recently?! LOUD music (that I complained to them about....Lesley knows. that you can hear late night when staying in villas along the beach.

SXMFox--that's the way it should be! There are many days at BSV that we don't leave! We have everything we need there. Have the winds calmed down?

Lots and lots of sargassum floating by. Some beaches are awash with it.

Not sure. Orient was good yesterday, Cupecoy never gets it. I know the usual suspects are a mess. Dawn Beach, Cul De Sac. Simpson Bay was good two days ago, but obviously that has changed per the post above.

They normally rake the beach every morning there. Has all this come up just this morning?

Not sure how well you can see this, but that brown stuff floating by.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNw8fT3zTgkBeach at Club O had none when we swam there yesterday, it does tend to gather more towards the other end of the beach. Going back to check again today!

A few years ago as we were flying into the general area of SXM we spotted that brownish tinge lying in the water across much of the area and didn’t really know what it was. Whizz Kid that I am, I thought it might be some type of an oil or chemical spill. It was huge and went on for miles as we landed. We didn’t notice it too much around Mullet or Maho but we did find it at Simpson Bay to a small degree and it was deep on most of the French side of the island. That was the first time we ever saw and experienced the Sargasso seaweed.......ugh! 😊😊
Respectfully,
