Well, we arrived on Thursday and hadn't had one drop of rain. The island is desperately dry. Several days there have been no ships at all. Unfortunately, today there are going to be two big ships in, and it's raining. Mother Nature needs to plan these things a little better! One ship has come in, second ship coming in now. The island needs rain, but hard for people to make a living when it's raining. Maybe it's nice over on the French side or in P'burg. We had planned on going to Mullet today, as we haven't been there yet, but we'll see what the weather brings later. If it stays like this, will probably start working on our actual trip report..

It's brightened up some, so we will head on over to Mullet for a couple of hours. Waves are REALLY big here right now, bigger than they have been since we got here, so not sure I will be getting in the water..

I usually look at the Port webcam to see what Phillipsburg looks like and what is coming on the eastern horizon.

We just got back from Mullet. Not bright sunshine, but we didn't get rained on.

The waves at Mullet were fine, not huge or anything. But there is a little bit of a cliff getting to the water. Not the massive cliff, but about 1/2; of the massive cliff. Over at Simpson Bay in front of us, the waves are a lot larger, bigger than they have been since we arrived. Appears to be sending sand to us, as the beach has grown some since we have been here.
No seaweed at all. They raked in front of our unit this morning and I could have picked up the entire pile that was racked in front of us with two hands easily.
