Linda and I just got back from Da-Islands. Had a wonderful time! I sailed a boat that is smaller than I have sailed in 20 years. So fun to be in a little ~30ish. Leverick is WELL repaired. Anegada is just as it was. I do not mean to belittle the work that was done by the HARD working people, but things are SOLID there. the new Willy-Ts will be dangerous for those who forget their nights...
The local people made the trip, the gracious people of the island shined! They are the bones of the islands, so welcoming and gracious. I don't think I have had a better people thing...sharing stories with everyone. Glad to be happy. Determined attitudes.
Amazing to see all the ships/barges taking and delivering.
If you have any doubts about going...we had 82 degrees, 16-20kts, beautiful seas of less than 3ft, and white sand beaches. need I say more?
ABTW, the mast for LUCI is on the way.
