We have chartered a 51PC for end of November. Last time we were in the BVIs was in 2009 so we are long overdue. We are from Canada. As friends find out we're going we've been warned about all the devastation and that there won't be much to do and/or see? I thought the islands have recovered quite well over the past year. I do understand Peter Island and Bitter End are still not open. As we are bringing friends new to the BVIs, will we be disappointed? Is there still lots to do/see? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

There are many places open and the beauty of the islands and water has not changed. The people are still kind and very grateful that visitors are returning.

You will have a great time. From the standpoint of a boat based vacation the recovery is remarkable.

You won't be disappointed at all. Lots of things have recovered and the natural beauty was preserved.

You have a fantastic time - yes, Bitter End is a big loss as is Peter Island Resort, but there is SO MUCH that’s up and running!

We had a fantastic time in June. Make sure you get over to Anegada!

Thank you so much for everyone's feedback. Feel much better now! As we have not been there since 2009, any recommendations on where to go and what to see that may be new or different since then would be appreciated. Thank you all!

No way will you be disappointed. Was there in June on our 5th trip and will be going back next month. Recovery is unbelievable and without a doubt still our favorite vacation spot.

You and your friends will not be disappointed in the least - major recovery has been and is ongoing and most places are open - cheers
