I am wondering if anyone knows of some travel forum websites relative to France and speicifcally to Paris & Normandy. Similar to TTOL, this would be where people can exchange travel tips, experiences, identify or recommend quaint hotels and restaurants, and places that the local population enjoys, but not the tourists. Thanks.

There is a forum called SlowTravelTalk that is very active with Europe. Far and away Italy is the most active board like SXM is on TTOL, but France comes in second.

Any real nuggets you find or trip reports don't forget to report back on TTOL World Wide Travel. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Thumbsup.gif" alt="" />

Also if you are looking for a BB in Normandie check out Le Manoir de la Riviere. It is on a farm very close to Normandy Invasion Beaches. Walking distance to Utah - I think. I have not stayed there, but it is run by a close friend's sister. I have had her cooking and it makes me want to leave for France in the morning. Both she and her sister here in the states are some kind of cooks.

And why do we go to France? Wine and Food of course!

Thanks for this tip. I'll check it out. I have located an apartment just off the Boul. Mich in the 6th Arr. fopr approximately 1543 Euros for 10 days in June, 2013. This seems reasonable, but I'd like to hear thoughts from others, It is rented through New York Habitat and this apartment includes a small washer/dryer which will help us immensely regarding the clothes to pack.
