They either brought in a massive load of sand or mother nature took care of it. No rocks showing on the Sunset Beach Bar Cam.

Mother Nature routinely gives and takes away there. Perhaps it is related to recent big swells..

Maybe but yesterday lots of rocks were showing. Today none. I'm thinking SSBB brough some in to enhance the beach in front of them.

Scuba,

Do you really think he'd spend the money for sand with all the other issues he's got going on? Mebbe? or Mebbe not? I'm more inclined to go with the idea it's nature's natural replenishment but who knows?

Respectfully,

pat

Yes, overnight is definitely possible. We've seen it happen that fast many times in the past. But really, who knows? Not being there, I'd say anything is possible, if not likely!

pat

Absolutely! Last week they were back hoeing the sand out of the road. Happened in a few hours! Can't imagine anyone trying to replace sand this time of year. It could be gone again tomorrow.

It's all about Mother Nature just doing her job. Living on the coast we can see tons of sand moved every day. More than likely, the only reason sand is replenished is to create higher dunes to protect oceanfront homes and coastal flooding.

Three days now they had to clear the road because it was totally blocked with sand . Hence once they remove the from the road , they had retuned to throw back the sand near Sunset Beach Bar.

We have seen literally over three feet of sand come and go at Royal Islander (Maho Beach) within the matter of 24 hours. It is amazing how mother nature works there.

Yesterday, workers were removing sand from parking places on the outside of the Allegria wall with a shovel. No one brought sand there but Mother Nature.
