We have a reservation to take Gumption's tour on March 12 and plan to reserve a slip at Leverick the night before. It looks too far to dinghy over there. Have any of you anchored around Necker? Any info appreciated.

There are mooring balls l you can use while visiting Necker. Meet Gumption at leverick and take him along.

^^ Picked Gumption up at Leverick Bay and motored our Lagoon 42 to Necker. Mooring ball for day use. Dingy in. GREAT experience!

We did the tour earlier this year in a monohull and Gumption directed us to a ball for day use. Then a quick dink ride to the dock. All was well.

Christo, enough depth for shoal draft. I don't know about deep keeps.
Capt Moby, deep cut was just there as are the mooring balls.

His website says to 'make your own way to Necker Island' but if he would pick us up that would be great. Good to know about the mooring balls. Thank you everyone for the responses!

Too far for my comfort even if fair winds. Pretty sure his boat is out of action for now(based on my visit 2-3 weeks ago). If you are in boat, pick Gumption up at Leverick (by dingy or pull up to leverick's dock).

Deepcut - thank you for the response. I'll wait to see what Gumption has planned when it gets closer.

I just received confirmation from Gumption that we are to meet him at Necker. Is the approach to the mooring balls from the south?

How is this Gumption tour? I am especially interested in the land tour with him. If you are thinking of a great Anegada tour I have been out with Kelly 4 times...all water tour out on the reef https://www.facebook.com/AnegadaTours/best snorkeling, flamingoes, conch island, caught lobster, saw sharks etc...
