Personally, I don't care for the idea of a proposal as a 'spectator sport', but that's probably just me. I personally would prefer someplace private, at sunset..

I agree with Carol - a private location. I proposed to my wife in Bermuda. No special spot planned, just carried the ring with me and found a nice spot on a hill with a good view and surprised her. Just make sure where ever it is, it is in a spot where dropping the ring wouldn't be catastrophic! ![smile smile](/images/graemlins/default/smile.gif)
