All new arrivals need to eat somewhere that night. Seems strange to me they are closed Saturday.

Many people eat very light that evening they arrive or stay at their resort, etc.

Which is another reason the restaurant at Royal Palm COULD have done well.

The pasta place across the street from Jimbo's (2nd floor, name escapes me) was closed on Saturday for that same reason.

Thanks, now I remember. Great food and ambiance, it will be missed. We ate there many times every trip.

I think LB12SXM was referring to Tutta Pasta, as being closed forever, which it is, from my understanding.

Just another word on Tutta Pasta. On one of our early trips to St Maarten, I remember Linda and I climbing up the stairs thinking "are we going to the restaurant"? If any of you remember, it was set up very nice. The food was good, never disappointed us. When I gave the waiter my credit card with the bill, he told me only cash. We didn't know it at the time, but it was the owner who told me (sorry I forgot his name.I think he was from Antigua.). He said if you didn't bring enough money, come back when you get the chance and pay me then. We came back many times after that until our visit in March of 2017 when we walked up the stairs for the last time only to find it closed forever. Thanks Tutta Pasta for the great memories and making me feel relaxed about paying my bill. People like him is another reason we always come back to our Paradise!

That was Warren, the owner of Tutta Pasta. They closed after Otto I believe, and never reopened. Used to be one of our favorites.
I have a pic with Patricia and Pamela!
And LaSalle the chef?
Great people.
Cheers

And yes, Saturday is a slow night on SXM because of the timeshare schedule.

We always made that one of our stops when we visited. Warren and the staff always made you welcome and appreciated your business.
