First the good news..The Elmtones will be playing Sunday nights back at The Elm..They will not be playing in January at "Pussers/Myetts"..nor will Jeff Ross who, I am told, was informed a couple of days before he jumped on a plane for a full January gig at Pusser's/ Myetts. Right after that The Elmtones found out they would not be playing there. Read into this what you will..I live here so will say no more. In the meantime , if you are a Pusser's fan, you will like the new place..there is barely a trace of "Myetts'" left..except one smiling employee..the lovely Ernestine. Pussers menu and prices..$5.50 Corona $8 cheapest plonk wine ..the rest of the stuff is what you see in every other Pusser's (how many are there left?). No hint of maintaining anything from the Myett menu as was mentioned so often. There were no other familiar faces at all except Vashall who now works in the front office with Val and has nothing to do with Pusser's. The menu is 100% Pusser's and there seemed to be more managers than staff..some wearing shirts and ties..on CGB. Time to turn Stanley's into "TGI Fridays".

Tyrone at Pusser’s Marina Cay does a nice conch chowder. The problem is a shortage of conch island wide. I used to buy mine frozen at Fisheries, but they have not re-opened.
We had a nice lunch at Myetts’ a few months ago. I understood they were behind the Pussers “alliance”, not the other way around. It’s a big shame to see the independent places disappear. I suspect some of them neither bought insurance nor self insured, making a comeback from the hurricanes very difficult.

Wow...Never would have thought...
"Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life — and travel — leaves marks on you.” -Anthony Bourdain
