Day 7 - Visit to Bread N Butter for croissants. Here are a few pics of the rest of the store. Well stocked. Greg the owner, told me, he's doing wine and cheese tastings on Friday, 6-7pm . Some pool time with a view that makes me want to wonder why I don't stay longer. Slider lunch from Infinity Bar. Pictures earlier in week. Dinner tonight was Grouper Fingers at SMYC, of course. Checked out Nowhere Special restaurant next door to SMYC. Owner, Al, originally owned Turtle Pier. He brought Chef from there to Nowhere Special. Evening concluded with last performance(till November) of Susan and Cliff at Red Piano. They jet back to Arkansas tomorrow. Big crowd. Extra band people. Crowd had Bill and Susie boppin along.

Next SXM visit -November 2023. Also January 2024.

There is a tutorial under the Frequently Asked Questions Forum and also a place to practice. Different than posting on FB but not too hard to figure out.

When you copy and paste the message on to TTOL that was on Facebook you can always go on the TTOL post and edit out the picture statement. Might be less confusing for the readers looking for those pictures. Just a thought.

I really wish TTOL could change the way that pictures are posted. Much more time consuming than other sites. I always posted pictures here in the past but not willing to spend the time now when it is easier in other forums. Also a lot of pictures taken with smart phones cannot be posted properly and many of us use our phones for pictures now. Perhaps in the future this can be changed to make our lives easier.

Elizabeth--no forum is perfect but it really is pretty easy to post pictures here now.

I have tried several times on the test thread and the cell phone pictures never come out right. I guess I just don't have the patience to spend time on it right now. Maybe in the future I will give it a try again. I have not found time to do my most recent trip report, but when I do, I will probably just provide a link to the pictures since there are so many of them. I have always been a big fan of this forum and want to support it as best I can.

That looks like a future party.excursion boat moored on one of the corner turns by the airport . It had a water slide off the other side ( see the yellow). I didn't notice a name,

W.

This is the party boat they were fixing up in time for high season behind the dingy dock. I wonder if they ever got it off the ground, it was supposed to be permanently moored in Simpson Bay, mostly foe cruisers

No not in front of BSV! Way further out and closer to the other side. One the owners told me that they were going to tender in their guest from the cruise ships! Interesting. Alcohol and tenders always make great bed fellows! Lol

Island Gem, that would be fantastic. I have had my share of troubles posting pics. No problem from home computer, but smart phones is a bit more tricky.
I agree other sites are a lot easier....but...I won't give up. LOL

According to another recent post about this, there was smoking in the pool table area but not much at the bar. Friends who were recently there said there was some smoking and it did not appear there was any enforcement of the former "NO SMOKING" policy. Like with many things on the island, it could change from one day to the next and be inconsistent. I have also read elsewhere that the smoking was bad.

I was on the ferry to Pinel with the owner in June last year. He told me that in order to stay in business, he had to lift the "no smoking" policy as there were few tourists. To my knowledge, the no-smoking ban has not been reinstated.
