Can anybody recommend a hotel to stay in Barcelona? We have a cruise booked for June but also would like to see Barcelona.

We had the same issue post cruise last year. I had no idea where to stay but had Priority Club points. We ended up staying ay a Holiday Inn Express in the suburbs. Worked out fine. Cab took us to from Pier to Hotel-Hotel back to Airport. Rode the Train in and subway around town. Easy to do.
Next time however......I would find a hotel near La Rambla (Main street with lots of vibrant activity, rstaurants that stretches from waterfront several blocks into town. Cab probably won't be much to from airport and pier. Walk, take subway to see Sagrada Familia Church andother sites.. But for us, La Rambla is where it's at and where we would head next time.
