It begins with the usual hassels of travel, Newark, NJ and an early morning start. But 4 hrs later arriving in St. Thomas, the sun was shining, 85 degrees, welcome punch in hand, we felt we were a world away. Caught a 2:30 ferry to west end and was on our catamaran by 3:30. This is our third trip on the boat since we bought it last year. After an 1 hr of unpacking the new dishes, towels, linens and pots and pans it was time for my first painkiller. Spent the first nite in Roadtown over near Conch Charters, the company we're leaving our boat with. The Pub was as usual good for food, booze and service. Next morning we set sail to one of our favorite spots, The Caves and the Bight. Great snorkeling and had a blast at the Pirates Bight with Randy the bartender. He was very entertaining, never even went to Willie T's. Fri- Sailed over to Maya Cove to meet up with 3 other Catamarans chartered from Sunsail filled with friends from home. We motored in Maya's zig zag entrance only to find no moorings available, had to motor back out and picked up 1 of only 3 moorings on the west side of Buck Island-great spot, beautiful, quiet, no one even picked up the other 2 moorings, so we were by ourselves. A short dingy ride away-Fat Hog Bobs for good music and of course cocktails.

Next day (fri.) sailed to Marina Cay (did some ok snorkeling) and then motored over to Trellis Bay to pick up 4 of our guests. **Was curious, Does anyone know if the woman from the Last Resort had her baby? 6 wks ago she looked close to ready then! Anyway, our friends finally arrived at 5:30 and we went to "Deloose Mongoose" for drinks and dinner-2nd time there and always find good food & prices! Bugs were out in force I guess do to the massive rain they have had. We realize it hasn't rained on us yet. Sat. sailed to the Dogs (I think it was Great Dog) Great snorkeling, we had not been at that spot before. SAiled to Gorda Sound to meet up with our catamaran friends. Good deal to get a mooring with Saba Rock- free 250 gallons water & bag of ice. Boat hopped with the other Cats with 230pm cocktails on their boat-these people can party!! Evening we grilled chiken and veggies and decided to bar hop. We dingyed over to the Fat Virgin Cafe (good idea to start at the farthest bar and make your way back home), next Bitter End, Saba Rock and finally back to our friend's boat. Everyone appeared "Over served"" We fit right in.

Next moorning we set sail for Anegada. Craig's tan lines appeared to have a strange pattern and he is blaming Dee's negligient sunscreen application to his back as the problem. This seemed to inspire him to create his new rum drink "the Melanoma". His nickname became "Blender boy" and I was his assistant "Nutmeg girl" . The Anegada sail was beautiful, took 2 hrs, averaged 9-10 knots. We ate lobster dinner at Anegada Reef Hotel (great lobster!!) and many drinks followed. Dee learned a hard lesson, rum, lobster and a bottle of wine don't mix. Personally I think Craig poisoned her "Melanoma blender drink" as a payback for the negligient sunscreen application.

Next day (Tues) sailed to Green Cay for snorkeling and then over to White Bay for drinks at the soggy dollar bar. (I brought my drinking mans book in, bartenders seem to hate this book despite tipping)Finished evening at Foxy's and Wendels.

Wed. Hiked and swam at Sanday Cay-bugs were bad despite Bug spray. Sailed off to Cane Garden Bay -really good snorkeling on the right side. Amy and Doug (our last 2 guests) arrived. We had a good dinner at Myett's but later wondered if we got ripped off since they charged us a 15% service tax that they said did not include tip, we never see this on any other tabs.

Thurs sailed to West End (got water again as it goes quickly w/8 people) Off to the caves and a wild nite at the Bight, bar hopping with our Catamaran friends betweeen Willie T's and the Pirates Bight. At Willie T's Amy and Doug jump naked for their T shirt. Michelle was too drunk, so they gave her a shirt not to jump. Fri- sailed back to Foxy's for "Burning Spear" great music, not as crowded as the Music festival 6 wks ago. Scott and I fell a sleep in the hammocks..

Sat. dropped off 2 guests at West end for their sad trek home. and then off to Cooper Island to meet up w/the rest of the gang. Snorkeled off "Cistern Pt."-always a great snorkel and when we returned to the boat we had a 4 ft barracuda that stayed under the boat for quite some time-scary looking to say the least. To the Beach Club for evewning drinks- has ablast with the whole group (there's 26 of us) For everyone but Scott and I, it's their last nite.

Sun -say good bye in the mooring knowing I'll see them out on the race course when we get back home. We sailed to Roadtown to drop off the rest of our guests. Sailed back to the Bight, our 3rd time this trip!! for one last snorkrl and good music from 5-7 at Pirates Bight.

Monday headed back to Road Town and worked on cleaning the boat and touching up some of the terak wood. Our new company "Conch Charters" came aboard and looked the boat over, that evening we had drinks with the staff at the Pub

Tues- it's all over another great trip , time to go to the airport but we feel like we are leaving the boat in good hands. I won't bore you w/traveling back to NJ or the horrible weather since we got back. I just concentrate on 183 days till we're back. Hope it wasn't too long......Donna
