This is one we havent actually experienced on island. We’ve heard some names but looking for solid recommendations for next time. I suppose Mediteranean has multiple interpretations. Were open to any. We are partial to food from Turkey but like it all.

I've never been there, but I believe you would want to try Al Pasha which is located in Simpson Bay on Airport Road. That should have what you are looking for. They may have a website that you can check out. Hope that helps.

Byblos (Lebanese) had great food and a wonderful proprietor. If I remember right, he shut down after Irma, was taking 2018 off and hoping to come back in 2019 in a different location. Does anyone know if that happened? Because if IT did, it would be worth searching him out - sounds like just the kind of food you are looking for!

I think that place is still closed. But, it did have a really good reputation. Near Al Pasha there are two other places that I believe are up-and-running that may also fit the bill. Beirut SXM and another place called Vesna or Vensa Tavern are within walking distance of Al Pasha. This particular area of Simpson Bay is kind of known for their Mediterranean cuisine. Personally, I never dined at any of them but knowing St. Maarten my guess is that they are all very good.
