Celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary with this trip! Just the 2 of us left DFW thru MIA to EIS. AA and Seaborne on 6/13. No problems at all. Taxied to Roadtown Riteway to get last minute items and to meet our host. We stayed at Kerensa Villa owned by Ben and Jess Bamford. He left Jess's birthday party to come meet us and give us a ride to the villa! Great guy! This is our second time staying here. The villa was destroyed by Irma and Ben luckily rebuilt and it is better than ever. Just beautiful! Riteway had provisioned for us earlier in the day and Ben left a bottle of Champagne with flowers for us. Feeling special.
We stayed there for 4 days, didn't leave or see a soul. The most stressful thing to decide on was which cocktail to have and what time to start drinking it. haha
Our friends all arrived on Sunday, 6/16 from St. Louis, 2 stayed at Maria's by the Sea and 3 stayed at Fort Burt. Southwest and Inter Caribbean - no problems. Maria's got a thumbs up, Fort B not so much. Ben arrived early on Monday to take us to TMM where we met the rest of crew and we chartered BELLA for the week. A 2019 Lagoon 450.
After getting Riteway, Caribbean Cellars and Island Surf and Sail deliveries and check out, we were out of there around noon. Motored to Norman for a lazy first night of fun, snorkel and lots of RUM! Lots of empty balls. Sailed the next day and ended up at Peter Island Great Harbour. We had to take the newbies in for PKillers at Willies. The crowd did not disappoint. Fun but not too crazy.
Woke up in time to get a BoatyBall at Leverick. Motored to Baths and snagged a ball. Great time. We all agreed that Top of the Baths definitely have the best Pain Killers on the trip. And believe me, we tried them all. Sailed and didn't arrive at Leverick until around 4. Glad we had a BB, didn't have to worry all day and gave us a lot of time to sail. And the field was packed.
Next day motored over to see Bitter End and Saba. So sad. Snorkeled the Dogs and sailed to Cane Garden Bay. Again, glad we had a BB since it was packed and we didn't get there until 5:30! Went into Bobby's for few groceries, very well stocked. Next day we spent on White Bay at Jost and visited every bar. Hendo's won the friendliest bartenders, cleanest place and BEST food. Just a great place!
Next day we sailed around a bit and got a BB at Little Jost. Did not need to because there were tons of balls empty. Dinked over to Foxy Taboos, no one greeted us, kinda stared at us even after we sai hello, how are you. Should have left but we bought drinks and they were not good. Dinked over to Bee Line and played corn hole. Had good drinks there but beware it's CASH only. No problem.
Last night of the trip we decided on Peter again since it's so close to TMM base. We motored thru Sopers Hole and cried. So sad but they are rebuilding. Had another great sailing day. I tried to warn the crew about Willy T's on Sunday night but they had to see to believe. Wow, way different than earlier in the week. Pot smoking, rolling joints on the bar, clearly a couple of working girls at the bar. Unbelievable!!
Turned our boat in and taxied to Scrub for 2 nights. Great place to end the trip. We had a blast and looking forward to 3 weeks in October.
This was our first time back after Irma and the Islands look good. It is very dry and they definitely need rain. It was great to talk to everyone there and hear their stories. The people make the Islands and most everyone we saw had big smiles and warm handshakes. TMM is once again wonderful to work with. Everything went well, no chase boats - yay! BELLA is a beautiful boat. I will mention that she has the new blue cushions on it that are way inferior to the factory made cushions. They are made of plastic and no give to the cushions what so ever. They are scratchy and SOOOO uncomfortable. I know, I know, third world problems! We actually joked all week about them. "Oh our yacht has hard cushions - boohoo!!"

Hi, Sad to hear you did not have a good experience at Taboo. We loved the place. Super nice bartender and waitstaff. Loved the food too. We just confirmed a TMM charter for Feb 2020. 3800 Lagoon "Glissade II". Where did you refuel before heading back to TMM base?

They do however tend to cheer up when an Auntie Pirate pops in with a smile 😀

auntie, Our crew of 4 just returned Glissade II after 8 nights. Refueled at Conch Charters cause it is convenient and easy as the wind gently pushes you against the dock.
Glissade II is new and pristine. Easy sailing with all controls at the helm. AC is dockside only, but she cools very quickly once you open her up.
Enjoy!

The Conch fuel dock is open now which is the most convenient getting back to TMM. I dont think Delta has reopened, and Nanny Cay is always useful - I believe they have 2 fuel points now in both the inner and outer marina?

We are next up on Glissade II this month. Any words of wisdom to share about her? Do you have any pics you can share?
