Daily Herald storyBe alert for possible heavy downpours. By the way, is the island greening up? I think that there has been more rain than before our recent trip in June?

We were st the Towers one April and were shocked by how ‘brown’ the island was, and dismayed because our SIL was flying in primarily to play the SXM Open at Mullet. And of course, to enjoy his SXM vacation, too The Wednesday evening before his arrival it started to rain. Not heavy downpours but just a nice gentle ground-soaking rain. We woke up Thursdsy morning and literally, we sat out on our balcony and got to watch the grass turn green. By the time he arrived the course was green and the golfers had a great Saturday/Sunday event. It doesn’t take much.......
Respectfully,

Yeah, although it seems like it should pass over either Hispanola or Cuba, so hopefully even if it forms, can't get too wound up. (Knock on wood!!)

Bill just picked me up from the airport and on the way home drive around a couple cars stuck in Lake Mullet. Reports of flooding in many areas.

So they say. Have friends who can't leave their house. But it will subside.

Yep, the water runs off since it can not soak in and will eventually find the low spots and accumulate.
