Ahoy Captain, I love the Internet, Yes, a little older and wiser, and still here. Yes, 3 Leopard 42/43 cats all going strong. Looking for more boats for the ‘fleet’ with a waiting list for Dec and January. On Island Fun, the Leopard 42, yesterday marking the chain every 25’ and then upgrading the hatches. I will haul it out next week to paint the bottom myself and new wax and graphics. Over $15K in upgrades on MoonShadow, the Leopard 43, this year with more solar panels, batteries, Jib, davits, etc. Hauled and I painted the bottom in May. Over $25K in upgrades on Outback, the Leopard 43, this summer with bottom paint, new electronics, etc. All three yachts moved less than 1 Foot during Irma. Not 1 drop of salt water below deck. Yes, all three dismasted, all at the spreader so no damage to the chain plates, and so now all three yachts have NEW, not salvaged, $60K worth of masts/ booms/ furling/ standing rigging/ running rigging. All three yachts ended ’18 with a profit and ’19 is much better. And ’20 will be much better than ’19 thanks mostly to all my Repeats and Referrals. Yes, all three yachts are pre-recession but with very aggressive proactive maintenance, and the fact I still do most of the cleaning myself, I will put their safety, reliability, comfort and cleanliness against any other bareboat. And 7 Nights for $4900. I sincerely apologize if I doubted your reasons for cancelling your charter. Cancer is a long dark story for my family. Yes, I have Friends and Enemies/Competition on the Internet. 30 Years in this business and a very personal commitment to honesty and hard work and accountability, I am sure I have my share of Trolls. I don’t do Facebook or Instagram or Snap or MySpace or any of that, so if you don’t see a rebuttal to the Trolls it is because I am doing dirty work on a boat. Had one of the best weekends of my life 5 weeks ago with the Prettiest Girl in Paris. I still run every night and still no drugs so, Yes, I am still here and will be for a very long time.

Hello, I'm the owner of Island Fun, one of the Leopards in Brent's fleet. Currently, Brent has three Leopards. mine (a 42), and two 43's. All with four cabins with four heads. Brent has all three boats in pristine condition. All with solar panels. The only damage Island Fun encored by Irma was the loss of our mast. With great effort, Brent managed to get NEW masts for all three boats., Our Leopard as well as Moon Shadow and Outback run, sail and look as nice as most new boats. Brent has done an outstanding job. Last season, Brent's boats were constantly out on charters while many other companies had most if not all their boats on the docks for weeks at end. When we put Island Fun in Brent's fleet in 2014 she was in great condition with not much wear and tear. This last season, after new varnish, new mast, sonar panels, annual scrape and painting of the bottom I had to remark Island Fun was in even better condition than when we bought her. We chartered with Brent before we became boat owners so we know Brent both as customers and boat owners. Brent is the only charter company I would trust with my boat. Maintenance and upkeep are top priory with Brent. Those are key issues for all boats new and old. I have seen many newer boats in the BVI in poor condition. It's a pleasure arriving at Sea Cow Bay and seeing Island Fun, running perfect, looking in tip top shape, fully ready for a new sailing adventure. All I can say is you won't go wrong chartering through Brent. Brent does everything possible to make sure his clients have a great sailing experience.

Hi,
We chartered with Captain’s Compass for the first time last year. We had originally booked for Nov 2017, but the storm obviously delayed that booking. Brent was first class in how he handled the storm induced cancellation. We have chartered with two other companies in the BVI and had very good experiences. We tried Captains Compass because of the price, and heard very positive reviews from colleagues who had been with CC for years. The reality is we couldn’t have afforded a 4 state room cat at our previous spots.
Reality check: Sea Cow Bay is not very glam, certainly compared to the other two marinas we previously used, although Nanny Cay is just a bay away. The boats are not new, and therefore the interior styles are dated compared to new cats at the boat shows.
Real Deal: I will say one of our biggest comments was how clean the boat looked and smelled. Meaning no smell. The boat was in very good shape and all rigging and required equipment was in very good to great shape. Once we got sailing, we had no issues, as in zero. A few impressive touches by Brent like his bridle system for mooring balls, and the solar panels that meant no charging at night. I don’t think we used 10 gallons of diesel all week.
We would not hesitate going back when looking for a cat of that size.
Any further questions feel free to ask or pm.

Thanks for the information. My brother has a Leopard 444 coming out of charter in June. I will have him get in touch with you. He is currently in Annapolis at the boat show so it might be a week or so. Is the contact information on your website current?

Walter, We’ll be on Moonshadow in just about 2 weeks. As sailing newbies we rented with Brent in 2014 on the LomDee for a birthday celebration, had such an amazing time we’re coming back over Halloween for another 10 daze. In 2014 we sailed with Captain Carol (whose since retired) and are looking forward this year to another adventure.
