David and I spent the day at Orient. We settled in at LaPlaya reading and catching some rays with several swims in the ocean. The sun was out most of the day with intermittent clouds. We cooled off in the ocean before and after lunch. David opted for a mahi mahi sandwich cooked perfectly and I had a poke bowl. For me, this was my best dish so far. It was a perfect beach day, beautiful views while eating a flavorful meal with my love. Detailed description of poke was: Tuna, marinated salmon in soya sauce and sesame, ginger, cucumber, coriander, wakame salad, avocado, shrimp tempura, wafu sauce. Too full from lunch so opted to stay back for evening. David went with our Friends went to Fat Tony’s in Jordan Village they all ate something different. Brisket, pizza, foot long hot dog, steak, sides all good. That poke bowl does look great. However, Bruno said he'd do a bo bun nem salad for me with BOTH beef and shrimp so I'm going to start with that on my visits to La Playa. Glad you had a good day!

jazzgal--yes, I was surprised that the bo bun nem salad did not have both beef and shrimp at LaPlaya.
