St Bartholemy has increased from 1 to 3 cases per Johns Hopkins site.

St Martin still at 2

You have to zoom into the islands

As good as it is, the Johns Hopkins heat map is a touch out of date on those cases. The report from the French ARS is that both patients on the French side have recovered, the first patient on St Barth has recovered, and that there are 2 new cases on St Barth who travelled on a cruise ship.

Today is 14 days since I heard about those cases on 2 March. Let’s see how Hopkins does if they are still not marked recovered at the end of day 15.

Whatever. Makes no difference to me. Hopkins is great, and a resource which I use, but they need to get their information from somewhere. ARS, Agence Regionale Santé, the Regional Health Agency, is the best souce for French health information. They are the source which JHU should be getting their information from, and the ARS posts daily updates. If those updates aren't included in JHU's statistics then that doesn't mean that the updates aren't more correct than JHU's statistics.

I google ars st Martin, nothing and ars corona, nothing. I’m watching the whole world including state by state. So to each his own, post a site I’ll look at it.

The point wasn’t Hopkins the point was STB went to 3 from 1.

I've been pulling the bulletins from, variously, the ARS Guadeloupe FB page, the Collectivité de Saint-Barthélemy FB page, and the Préfecture de Saint-Barthélemy et de Saint-Martin FB page. The latter two pages are sharing information from ARS Guadeloupe. I've got yesterdays update, which I will share if I can figure out how to upload a picture here. Here's a quote from a longer post which was made on the Préfecture's FB page yesterday, as translated by FB:

Bulletin No. 12
Information "coronavirus"
Situation as at March 16, 2020
The virus does not spread on the islands of St. Maarten and St. Martin.
To date, the balance sheet remains the same:
• Saint-Martin: at this moment no confirmed cases.
• Saint-Bartholomew: 2 new confirmed cases.
In Saint-Bartholomew, the 2 new confirmed cases are a couple back from vacation. They have contracted the disease on board a cruise ship.
