EllenS - definitely stay in Greece
Head to Porto Heli and take a right North

There are also sorts of things and places to see in the region if you like antiquity.
But I found my best meal in Greece in this small city

And then I walked the 999 steps

The Beerman is Up!
I loved this city!

I had the most fun in Nafplio and on the island of Kythnos on our Greece trip.
I do not think either are in the top places to see in Greece
Maybe that is why I liked them

I knew it wouldn’t last long, but I miss that island especially the quiet side. They painted over that mural years ago unfortunately. It sits by the Moravian church. Go Toast!!

I was just in St John beginning of August, was heavenly, despite it still being 2020...lol.

Here goes, my first choice I deleted was too obscure. This one was my Son's only request to visit on our vacation in 2016....

It is not in France and has very little to do with the "Sun" ...
Hint, good thing this statue is actually in a "fountain"......

Toast - would it be a fallen angel that vive en España

I am almost 99.9% it is near the Crystal Place in Madrid.
Our hotel last year was about a 1/2 mile away and we spent lots of time walking in the parks and botanical gardens

Tom B you have it correct, the fallen Angel in Retiro park right by the Crystal Palace, I thought the fountain clue would help.
YOu are it!

ps, I wasn't thirlled that the number one thing my son wanted to find was a statue of the devil.....

I think I need to put it on the list, looks fun.

Ah, that explains it!

Looking online now I can see from the location that I have indeed been there. Also Gwen's on the other coast. I remember Gwen's as I left pretty soon after arriving due to the miserable staff and poor service. That was probably 12-15 years ago so worth another visit for the location if nothing else.

Mike,

The times we have been there it has really never been crowded enough to worry about service or really did not care because we were going to be there for a while.

Sundays are great afternoons to be at the Dune Preserve - Bankie has Sunday School.
Local Players take the stage and Bankie normally joins them for a few songs.
I cannot take too much sun anymore so Janet hangs on the beach and I do the shade in the Dune Preserve.

I am not real fond of the monkey that hangs around, but it is has been awhile since I was there - maybe he is gone.

If you can, a great day to be on Anguilla is their Independence Day, which is May 30th.
I would definitely plan my next trip to be on AXA that day.
Just fun and a great sail race. Here are some shots from the day Anguilla eXcellent Adventure - Race Day
