Dr Fauci just released this statement. I suspect and hope he has a bit of inside information on the phase 3 results.

Fauci said: "We hope that as we get into November and maybe in the early December, we get an answer as to whether or not one or more of these candidates are safe and effective. I'm cautiously optimistic that we will have a safe and effective vaccine. And then we'll be able to start distributing doses reasonably soon thereafter integrated fashion to individuals with the highest priority such as healthcare workers and people on the front lines."

Nothing to do with the BVI. This is not a general Covid board.

I have been getting complaints as to why this thread was locked, when there is now a thread in the SXM forum, talking about the new Pfizer vaccine. First, there is a HUGE qualitative difference between Dr. Fauci's statement and the announcement that the Pfizer vaccine is on track for release and is reportedly 90% effective. Second, moderation is never an easy or perfect thing. Third, the thread in the SXM had many replies before I even saw it, but as I said number 1, this news from Pfizer is HUGE for the world.

I actually read the threads about vaccinations and USVI trip reports...indirectly they do impact my travel plans to the BVI (or maybe going to USVI) and from your business point like the BVI if the restrictions/moderations are too high people will find another venue (e.g. Facebook) for their BVI travel news

Ya, but can you imagine what this place would devolve to without some oversight? I've read some of those forums: thread drift, thread highjacking, trolls, insults...it's like the wild west...and not in a good way!
