ACCIDENT/DAILY HERALD

Having been a former long time rider and personally witnessed a cycle accident on the island, this is sickening but once again proves the point. You can not fix stupid. Very sad.

There was a very similar fatality on the same road maybe about six months ago.

When we were there in December, it seemed that the lighter traffic made the motorcycle riders even MORE daring.

I might have missed it but where in that article does it say what the police are going to do to crack down on this illegal and dangerous behavior. Seems to me that is much of the problem.

They will occasionally have check-points and get some off the road but it does not happen enough.
