Condolences. I never met him, but the restaurant was very popular for many years.

I believe at one time Joel also had a small restaurant in Marigot that was casual and wonderful. Across from the grocery store. A lot of French locals went there for lunch. It was great.

He had a pretty large collection of miniature liquor bottles. I brought over about 30 that I had and he added them to his collection. Was very appreciative and even delivered a bottle of his wife home made rum in a decorative bottle to my condo. Still have that empty bottle.
