Hi folks.....Guess i am starting to get ''gravitized''....haven't reported the last couple of days. Thursday, we spent over at Orient. .Once again went to our favorite place Le String. Always great people there besides the fantastic staff that they have working there. Had a fun day with a few of the people we have met in the past, and a few that are new to us this year. Lunch again was very good, reasonably priced, and service beyond expectations!! Was a bit breezy, but surely not like the day before where it was so windy one couldn't stay on the sand. Delightful breeze, dry air, a little cooller than normal....but BEAUTIFUL. Around 4:30 headed back to Maho, which went pretty quickly, except for backup leaving Marigot. Crawl down to the causeway...then clear sailing. For Dinner, since we both had a big lunch, we decided to stay ''local'', and went to Winnie's Chines behind Maho plaza. We were there a few years ago to, but didn't go back. We ordered some appetizers, and split an entre, and for the food i would say it was mediocre at best. Service was slow, even though there were only the two of us, and another table with eight. OK, since we weren't in a hurry anyways. Next time we get the Chinese craving, it will be back at the White Swan, which is a thousand times better food and quality. Then walked into Casino Royale expecting to play some black jack, but, there was no one else playing. Since I hate one on one, i walked out. Went back, watched some tube, and before i knew it, it was morning. So, today was one of those days that I really needed to stay low. We decided to stay right here at LaPlage. I didn't even venture out till tonight, my wife spent the day down at the pool. Gravity surely setting in. When we arrived last week, the Maho beach was larger than i have seen for quite a few years. Well, today that changed. Went from so much sand, to nothing but rocks today, and the water line is quite close to the stairs. What a diffreence a day makes. Heated up the leftover ribs and chicken from the lolos, and that was lunch. Tonight, after reading for years about Bar Code, we decided to give it a try. I really don't know why he haven't visited that place before. I guess we have become creatures of habit. They had an ossobucco for special tonight, so decided to give it a try. OMG it was amazing. Food and service was fantastic, the food AWESOME, and they also had some live music playing, very low key, very nice!!! Stayed for a while after dinner, and ventured back home, with the plan of another casino night. Same as last night, totally dead, NOT ONE PLAYER at the tables, so it was a quick trip, and i came out with what i went in with Another winning night!! Again, feel very lucky that we come for three weeks, because since week 1 in the books already. I feel like we just landed. Really hoping that the next two weeks SLOW DOWN. Good news gotten today. Usually we move to another unit here on Saturdays....but was told if we want, we can stay put for the entire time we are here. No having to change rooms, so no packing an unpacking required. i'll take it. Plus, this week is on a floor higher, with a better view. no complaints. More to follow, if you want more. LOL Sorry, we aren't overly adventurous anymore.

Thanks for the report, Ed. So lovely, the concept of live music playing while eating. All of us have missed so MUCH the past year!

Another nice read and so glad you enjoyed BarCode. Our experience is their food has been excellent every visit though I don’t think we’ve ever had live dinner music. Possibly we chose the wrong nights. And IMHO, any night you walk out of Casino Royale even, you are a winner.
Respectfully,

Staying put gives you a whole uninterupted day extra. actually two days. Next Saturday would've been a move too. No complaints
