We enjoyed an excellent dinner at Bistrot Caraibes last night. Warm goat cheese and thinly sliced duck breast salad, lobster bisque, scallops, lobster thermidor, a very nice bottle of Chardonnay. We also enjoyed a digestif and dessert—eau de vie (raspberry) followed bycreme brûlée, a very nice port followed by cheese plate. I have some great photos but I’m not sure how to upload from my iPhone—let me know if you’ve done it before.
Bistrot Carabes is our favorite restaurant on the island. We LOVE that Goat Cheese Duck Salad. The owners and their staff are truly gracious and professional giving one a great dining experience.
blue jacket--Sounds lovely, although I personally couldn't eat all those courses any more, they sure do sound good!
With regard to posting pictures, it is very easy. Click on "USE FULL EDITOR". Then click on ATTACHMENT MANAGER, below the box where you type in your note. Once that box opens, select the files you want to upload (up to 20, but each one has to be uploaded separately), and voila!!
It is an amazing place. Your choices there were similar to ours. On our last trip to SXM, we had planned to go back for our "last supper", but protestors had the road blocked between the Village & GC. We had to "settle" for l'Astrolabe - also excellent. We're hoping to return to BC on our next trip in July.
