Something I may have missed if posted previously that I want to pass-along. We logged onto Delta to check in online 24 hours prior to departure like always, but we were unable to. The message read something like 'additional documentation required'. I am a pretty organized person, and have read up in detail here (thank you all!) and other sites but have not seen others state this 'problem'. We only live about 15 minutes from our little airport so I decided to drive over and check in. Luckily they were between flights with no line. The agent asked for our covid tests. Check! She reviewed in detail. After about 5 minutes of studying she asked for authorization. Check! She studied it in detail and said I should have something else with a barcode for her to scan. The only thing with a scanable code that was emailed to me was the insurance pass. She directed me to the ehas site and i informed her that is where I received all my other information and documentation. After about 20 minutes, I assume she decided she did not need what she was saying I should have, she checked us in and we now have our boarding pass. For a brief period I was concerned, but felt I had all my needed documentation.
Anyway, heads up that you may experience what we did and be unable to check in online. Hope this helps someone as much as others have helped us on this site by passing along info!!!!!

Huh. Not sure what happened there, as I don't remember other people posting this?? Has anyone else not been able to check in online?? You're lucky you were very close to an airport.

We were not able to check in with AA or JB online due to they need to see all those Docs. Although JB seemed like they took our check in, but would not allow to print a boarding pass. Had to go to the counter with both airlines.

For what it’s worth, we were in SXM. 4/14 through 4/30 traveling on AA round trip.
In both directions I was able to check in on line but only able to go so far with the check-in process and I was unable to obtain boarding passes on line in either direction. AA said it was because they had to actually physically put eyes on our EHAS docs and returning to the States they needed to put eyes on the docs plus see our declaration. And the really funny thing to me was that at no time did anyone at PJIA ever look at our declaration. Once the AA rep checked our other docs they immediately printed both sets of boarding passes from SXM and from CLT into NY.
Respectfully,
pat

I was unable to check-in online at Delta and when I finally reached a rep, it was because of the documentation. They did go ahead and assign our seats at the time I tried to check in (we had very cheap seats, so we couldn’t get them until 24 hours ahead).

OK, so it sounds like this is pretty common, so I guess I will try not to get freaked out if it happens to us! Glad we have assigned seats though, as planes are flying pretty full, from what I'm seeing.

We couldn't check in online or at the kiosk for our Delta January trip to SXM....and even if we could we wouldn't be able to print boarding passes because of doc requirements. No biggie....usually have to check in again anyway to get baggage tags

Ok, I guess that is the SOP now, but I missed it, if someone posted this before. I guess it's not a big deal EXCEPT for people who bought the cheapie seats, that aren't assigned until you check in..

We were not able to complete check in online either. And nobody asked for any documentation leaving Seattle till we got to SXM.

Was unable to check in online with AA during our April trip. Was not surprised as I knew they needed to see our documents before allowing us to board. We already had assigned seats.
