Sometimes you just need something not French or fancy and PP has it all While we have always enjoyed the food, sometimes you just don't know who your server is and this visit it seems that our order taker pretty much got lost once he took our order a second server seemed more attentive while we had to flag down a third to get our bill my wife's coconut shrimp was ordinary while our first waiter did have the kitchen prepare mahi ceviche that was removed from the menu and just as good as remembered For us there is only one entrée we go to Pineapple Pete's for and that is a larger lobster thermidor paired with filet mignon You can see how big the lobster was compared to the filet and while they won't put Bistro Caribes out of business it's also more reasonably priced. We shared one of their namesakes desserts, dark rum crème brulee

We have always enjoyed our meals at Pineapple Pete and Pierre has always seemed very 'hands on, for sure. You are right, that filet looks like a midget, compared to that lobster thermidore!! We used to love Ziggy as a waiter there, but I think he has moved on, perhaps to Replay Sports Bar??
