I've seen posts about the Rapid Diagnostic Test (ID Now) offered at Walgreens. We do not have a Walgreens in our area that offers this test nor the Rapid Antigen Test (BinaxNOW) with results in as little as an hour. What Walgreens offers in our area is the Diagnostic Lab Test (PCR) where they say most results back in 72 hours. I don't think the MOST statement is very reassuring. We had tests back in March before our trip and to say it was a terrible and stressful experience is putting it mildly and that was when we could get tested within 120 hours of departure.

I'm back to looking at private places ($) like MD City who may offer the test with a guarantee short turnaround time. My issue was that when it came down to it back in March no one could make any guarantees. We went with a local pharmacy who used a site that was online only and the results they provided were not detailed enough.

If anyone is from Westchester County, NY and has used a place that they would recommend. I'd appreciate knowing about it.

Try CIty MD 48 hour test Shouldn't cost anything. Get results in 20 minutes. We used them in August.
Easy

According to the Walgreens web site, several locations on the Jersey side of the river offer a drive-through ID NOW test, including Teaneck.

Dan cheers

Around here, the last I checked, it said they had those tests at Walgreens, but if you tried to make an appointment, there were NO appointments available at any of the ten Walgreens within 50 miles of here.

Carol, how far in advance did you try to make your appointments? I checked and the test is available near us, and they say "some" appointments are available. I wonder if I should go ahead and try to get appointments now for November.

Ours said some also but still not offered in any proximity I could get to on a lunch break. Taking time off to test for vacation is not an option for me. It had to be local

Georgia--Before when we made an appointment for a test (which we ultimately could not use because they didn't come back in time), you could only make them 3 days in advance. However, this time when I clicked on it, like a week ago, they just said "no appointments available", period. Checking just now, they showed a "few" appointments available at a couple of places, but NO Binax Now tests ANYWHERE within 90 miles of me. And you can still only make an appointment no more than 3 days away. I would never do a PCR test at this point, because there is no guarantee that it would come back in time. For the ID now test, which allegedly has results in 24 hours, there were a FEW appointments available on Saturday at a place 45 minutes away, but based on my previous experience, I would NEVER do a test at Walgreens on a Saturday, as they do NOTHING with them until Monday.

Here in CT you can only book Walgreens 1-3 days ahead of testing. It’s a crap shoot!!!

Try checking for open appointments around 11:00 PM as I know they get gobbled up once they become available.
We made our appointments after midnight although my wife wasn't crazy about getting up it was nice to have an ID now test lined up since the other walgreen test came back the day of departure

Good luck as I miss the Halloween party pictures

What about the Urgent Care facilities?
That's where we had ours.

That's where we will probably have to get ours again. We paid $150 per person in June..

We had the ID Now test done at Walgreens on a Sunday and had the results within the hour
