As of today the official website for EHAS has not been updated to include the booster requirement for a person over 18 arriving after Jan 1, 2022 to be considered fully vaccinated.

If it wasn't for Carol and others on this site we would be left in dark. For those of us traveling next week I'd like to give you a heart felt THANK YOU!

No problem. The last time that things changed, the EHAS website did not change until the actual date, from my recollection.

If you're filling it out 3 days before flight you should know by then and have time for test.

Agreed, but by the time you get your denial from EHAS then figure out why it was denied, then try book a test either PCR or Antigen with all the testing sites super busy and then waiting for lab results which are also overwhelmed, then resubmit and wait again for EHAS approval. All during a holiday period, that could be quite stressful. The airlines state that you are responsible for complying with the requirements of your destination, that information is usually found on the official government website not a Facebook post or TTOL post.

100% correct, a really POOR way to execute things and that is pretty much how it has been handled all along.

Some cannot see the trees for the forest either.

Yup...pretty lame. If it wasn't for this forum MANY would totally clueless and would create a true clusterfrick for those w/e arrivals. Only hope: maybe those reviewing the forms also haven't been clued in yet.....

And that would not be a surprise either. I can tell from reading other SXM social media pages, there are a LOT of travelers who are basically clueless as to the requirements and procedures.

As of today, EHAS website is still not updated. And what is odd to me is that, other than the editorial which I linked here the other day, it has not been in the online version of the Daily Herald either. I'm not sure whether there is no DH this whole week, but there is none today, even in the full version online. I REALLY hope there are not a lot of people who don't hear about the change, but I expect there will be.

So if you were one of the screeners and didn't check the SXM facebook page, you wouldn't know about the changes either? Sounds like a recipie for chaos

That is not true, so why try to create further confusion by suggesting that screeners only get their information from the government's facebook page.

It's not an issue of the screeners not being informed of the change since that would change nothing. It's the issue of the traveler not knowing of the change and creating chaos AFTER the EHAS form is submitted.

Edit: I guess the take away is just get the 3rd shot and nothing changes....just the documentation

My reply was to the original poster, and he stated that screeners were getting their information from the SXM Government facebook page. This is not at all true.

I do not believe someone should exacerbate existing problems by spreading false information. If people want to travel to SXM or any other locations than they should hope to find the best available information. Any website, be it here at the TTOL or the SXM government sites should do their best, to provide the best and most up to date information, needed for travel to the destination desired. This information should be devoid of opinions, false information and mischaracterizations of the actual facts or procedures. Some people here are adding to the confusion by just sharing inaccurate information.

So then here is the official latest travel requirements that visitors should go by when looking for what is needed prior to travel . No forums, opinions, Facebook or Google searches needed. Here is the "latest" direct from where you should apply

https://stmaartenehas.com/travel-requirements/

Good luck with that,,,,

You know what, Brian, I would be willing to bet (someone else's money) that this thread HAS helped someone that was going to travel soon.

But since it has devolved into a p*ssing match between you and pretty much everyone else who has posted on the thread, I will close it down now.
