Just arrived yesterday for a two week stay.....already got a feeling it won't be long enough. Had incredible burgers at BBB for the first meal last night.....hope it's a sign of things to come.
Nice shots! What a beautiful sunrise pic!! Boy, I guess I never looked at that house in that last shot that closely!! That looks kind of dangerous to me!!!
That's OK, Carol. I was trying to figure it out as well, and my best guess was also that maybe it was some fancy new villa at the end of Beacon Hill, since we have been away for two years. I must admit to not having spent that much time observing the Sonesta Maho or the Ocean Point building, so now I know! LOL!!
The Air Caribes A-330 left last night, took off over the ocean, not the hills after an extended warm up. The IL-76 looks like a real beast, seems odd to see four engines on a plane of that size in this day and age. Will have to look up what I' sure are impressive performance numbers.
Two weeks at Beachside Villa's seems never enough!!! BUT at this time of year here in the NE, I'll take it!!! Thanks for sharing these great photo's! Can't believe that wreck "DaBoat" is still on the rocks!!!??? Burger at "Buc's" was good? Our group had a couple of BAD items back in October. New owners didn't seem to care, but our waiter made good. I've always stood behind Buc's as the best burger on the island! BUT I will tell you, "Sandbar" in Beacon hill topped that with a Blue cheese burger last October!! OH and "What the funk" plays there almost every Saturday night! They are GREAT!! Have fun, tell Joanie we said hello!!
SXMBND, thank you for the pictures of our home away from home. Wish I was there, spent 3 weeks in November there and missing it already. Always enjoyed burgers at BBB. Found The Sandbar burgers and food in general just average. So many places and not enough time!
So glad we at least got to say hello in November and we agree - love BSV and in honesty, thought the service and food at The Sandbar was just average but we may have just hit a bad day.
Not much of a burger fan myself but we took friends and first time visitors to Mary’s Boon for lunch. They said they had the best burger ever there. Everyone’s experiences can differ along with their expectations. The setting at Sand Bar was so nice we really didn’t mind the slower than slow service and we’d probably still go back.
Respectfully,

Hi Pat, It was nice chatting with you at BSV, wish we had a chance to socialize a bit more. May be this November we overlap again, we are booked for a last 3 weeks in November already. Kind of trying to figure out if I can squeeze a trip in the summer sometime also. And yes, the setting at Sandbar is very nice, but not crazy on their food.
We had the same issues with lack of Saba sightings last trip. I think I’ve already reserved our spot on Bill and Elaine’s balcony for our next trip since they seem to get all the good stuff - multiple green flashes included!! 😉😉
