This morning I did the EHAS form for our trip to SXM this coming Monday, it was so easy, I had my husbands approval in less than 5 minutes and mine in 30 minutes. I was so nervous about getting this approval, now I hope returning home will be as easy.
Today I also received the official certificate from Albany, NY,, for taking the dog, that was another headache as an International Veterinarian has to sign off on that. Now we are all set for our 8 a.m direct flight from JFK.
I would like to thank everyone on this site for the wealth of information with the EHAS.

Hi Carol, we’re going for a month, that’s the reason we take the dog.
We had to find an International Veterinarian to make sure he had all his shots, she had to sign off on the paperwork than she had to send it to Albany NY to have an official stamp from the dept. of agriculture, plant and animal. I was lucky as there is an Internal Vet in our town.
Usually they never ask to show any papers or shot record at JFK or SXM, but now with Covid I’m not sure if they will be more strict.

OK, thanks. I thought there was a whole elaborate procedure you had to go through and they enforced it strictly, to get approval to take the dog. I guess not.
