Carol,

We had heard for years about THE PLACE on SXM - La Samana of course.

We finally went for ‘brunch in ‘83 or ‘84. It was lovely and delicious but once was enough to assure me I was well out of my league or any league I wanted to be in.

Brunch, as I recall, consisted of juice, coffee and pastries to the tune of approximately $40.00 plus or minus for both of us plus a gratuity that we didn’t know was already supposedly included. Normal for today but for the early 80’s - not so much! And for sure, not for a young and broke two-some.

Respectfully,

pat

Mike and I tried to go in November for lunch but after we pulled into resort area the security guard informed us they hadn’t reopened for the season. We were so disappointed.
