I can’t believe that we have been here a week already! Flew PHX to ATL on Delta, spent the night at the Renaissance there. SO convenient, the Sky train has a stop right across the street. Flew on direct to SXM the next morning. From the time we left the hotel to the time we were through security was 24 minutes! I had made note of the time when we walked out of the door at the Renaissance just out of curiosity. Unbelievable. The stars aligned. Walked over to the train and folks were already waiting for the elevator and it arrived just then.. same thing with the train. We had checked in online and printed boarding passes, but still had to stop at a Delta counter for a document verification and baggage drop off. TSA pre check had maybe 3 people in front of us. We were off to a good start!

The flight down on Delta was great. We had a steward in our cabin (Comfort class) that obviously loved his job and who must hang out at open mike comedy hours in his off time. Such fun.

Grabbed our rental car from AAA, stopped at Carrefour for some essentials (I stayed in the car) and headed over to Oyster Bay. We had owned a t/s at OBBR for 25 years, and last year we upgraded to Coral Beach Club. It’s a “knock your socks off” difference to me, and I am so sad that we were able to share it with some friends arriving later in the week.

We have eaten so many fabulous meals that I think I’ve lost track. We don’t like to venture far, so thank goodness we can enjoy the same restaurant more than once. BZH, L’Oasis, Big Fish, Yvette’s and Mama Pizza so far. All great meals, not a miss at any one of them. Each different in their own way, all provided good service and represented a good value. I would not hesitate to recommend any one of them.

Beach days have been spent here (lunch at Veranda), Karakter, and captain Frenchy (Grand Case). One day in P’burg shopping. Lunch there was at the GreenHouse and later that afternoon when walking down Olde Street I did the proverbial “slap yourself up the side of the head” as we walked by that cute little French spot. It’s been several years since I’ve been to P’Burg, but how could I have forgotten about this hidden gem? Oh well, next time…..

Off to get ready for supper, catch y’all later,
LeAnn

Glad the dentist worked out. If it was Dr. Halley, he has helped many visitors and I am sure many locals as well. I took a friend there several years ago for an extraction.

Yes JD it was Dr Halley and the fact that you were able to provide his phone number is much appreciated. Called that morning and he was able to see him the next morning. So glad we didn’t have to wait the 2 weeks until we got home because even in those few days the gum had started to grow over!
