I'm gearing up for a bareboat charter from Grenada to BVI, Jan-May, 2015. Fairly overwhelmed on the technology front.

Cell phone. I understand that I can get a local SIM card to get my iPhone to work locally. Will a Lime SIM card take me the entire way? Any recommendations or tips for how to get reliable phone and cellular Internet service would be much appreciated.

Wifi and Internet. In reading posts, it seems like the days of free WIFI in harbors is about gone. I'm going to be homeschooling my son on this trip, and I'm looking for a reliable way to get Internet for school videos, etc. I started researching wifi boosters but I'm wondering if this is a realistic route for a boat I don't own. Any guidance, tips or suggests for how we can set up reliable Internet during this trip?

Get a phone with T mobile, no roaming data charges when in the islands, use it just like at home. Calls out are just 20/cents per/minute. This has changes our world, no longer carry several phones and have huge roaming charges.
