LinkGood news for the island, but I have to say that I am very unlikely to fly them in the near future. I have taken them several times in the US in the past. However, with the revelations regarding Frontier paying bounties to gate clerks to refuse to accept personal items that actually DO fit in the bag sizer, they'd have to be giving it away for free.

We are on the inaugural first return flight Saturday. It is saving us about $700. We have no bags so the personal item is the only concern. It fit in their little example bag tester at the gate at the airport when we left as i could test it since the gate was next to our noted gate. I too have heard the employees get $10 for every instance when they can upcharge a personal item to a carry on at $40 or more.
Will report back on this but for now 5 days in paradise!

I actually think if it wasn't paid for in advance, the fee to pay for it at the gate is something like $100???  Hopefully no issues for you on the way home.

They stranded us in Orlando 45 minutes before the flight, they canceled the flight. No one from the airline to help.
We ended up buying a ticket to Boston on Jetblue, had a friend drive from Maine to pick us up. Never ever would I
fly them again. Spirt is no better. You get what you pay for for.
