I have been looking at the Club O beach cam to get a sense of the condition of the beach at Orient. Many postings, including recent ones on TA, state the beach and water is full of seaweed. However, the beach on that camera looks nice to me. Is this area in better shape than the rest of Orient Beach? Are there other web cams for different parts of Orient?

Club O works very hard to remove the seaweed. If you happpen to look at the cam at about 7:00 am (CST), you will see the man on the tractor cleaning up the seaweed. He does an excellent job. Further up the beach past Pedro's, the seaweed was really thick (3 feet in somes places), and covered the beach. Most shop owners were trying to rebuild after the storm, and the Beach took a little longer to clean up. Not sure what it looks like lately, but since most of the shops (restaurants) have reopened, I'm sure they have the seaweed under control.

Seaweed deluge has largely dissipated. Club O beach (and water in front) are free of the stuff.
