We will be in SXM over Easter weekend. Does anyone know if stores downtown and restaurants will be open on Easter Sunday? Thank you!

Restaurants yes - stores probably not except for Saturday. And as I remember from many Easter’s spent on island, don’t forget they celebrate Easter Monday in a big way, too. 🙂🙂

I don't think you'd have trouble finding a restaurant but make reservation. Why cook in unit, enjoy yourself. It's the beaches that are busy. And if you go to church make sure you go early. One year we stood outside at back of church in Phillipsburg. could hear very well. ON another note the church in Grand Case has almost complete roof repair and is having services.

I think the Daily Herald newspaper should have information such as store closings and hours as it gets closer to Easter weekend.
