We always bring our kids when we come sailing to the US/BVI. I often get a question concerning what two young girls might do on a sailing vacation. We always have good family time - no electronics and everyone is together in the same place at the same time. Something that doesn't happen very often anymore. The video attached is a collage of clips from multiple trips and follows activities of the two girls Lauren and Hannah. Lauren is from 8 to 11 and Hannah is 10 to 13 in the video. I hope you find it useful when talking to your own kids or at minimum it's just another dose of DIF. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KKLhEntagcEnjoy...

Awesome, thanks for sharing. We're bringing newbie nephews in July. They have a lot of questions.

If you go to the youtube link you should definitely change your settings to view at 720p. The default resolution looks like dog doo doo.

salica said: A while back (March 2013?) someone had produced a booklet for kids here. It was very good, telling them what to expect, things around a boat they should know, stuff about the various islands. Hopefully someone will read this reminder and find a link. It was very good and I even passed the link on to an adult newbie we we taking. Ideal for a nine year old. That was http://www.visailing.com/articles/buccaneer/the-buccaneer-bible.pdf

I believe Salica may have been referring to a book I put together in the spring of 2014. A link to dropbox, with word and pdf versions, is in my July 22, 2014 post "The BVI And (Grand)kids."
