We arrived on Wednesday, actually went thru the system pretty easily. I was expecting the worst but was pleasantly surprised.

This trip we are staying at Fryars Bay at Sunset Paradise. Nice apartment, very well appointed and very easy walk to the beach. This will be our home for the next 4 weeks.

We went to Super U to get essentials for the next couple days. Then back, put everything away and off for dinner which at this point I’m starving! We had breakfast at the Turkish Airlines Lounge at MIA at 10ish…obviously too long between meals.

Plans were to go to Gutside Cafe for dinner, but they were closed at 8 pm and it was already 10 minutes til 8:00. So….we went to Cynthia’s Talk of the Town. Grand Case was very busy, we had a hard time finding a parking spot and getting a table. And this is “low season”?

Ribs were awesome as expected, service not all that. We got our appetizers right away then I don’t know what happened but we never received our mains. When I questioned it (they were cleaning up at this point) we got our food 5-10 minutes later! They were oblivious and not caring as it took about 10 minutes later to get the food. I understand this is not “High End Eating” but no excuse for this.

Today was a day a the beach….finally toes in the sand!! We had breakfast at “home” then went down to Fryars Beach. Then home for dinner,

Please let me know if you notice Gutside open, although we do not plan on having lunch
We still like to stop by and spend time with Richard and Lourdes

I don't think he stays open too late during low season

They are open, we went this afternoon. Richard and Lourdes are wonderful people, we enjoyed meeting them.
