The orange blob is moving toward SXM meanwhile Invest 97L heading to the Gulf of Mexico is a threat to Florida.

I think the thing in the Gulf is a lot more likely to cause some serious stuff..

The wave heading to SXM will curve and go out to sea before it gets anywhere near SXM.

Well sh*t. We had a five minute band that came through with rain and wind. Electric is on here at the office, but off at home. Had planned on staying home today, but Duke says the power there won't be back on until 9;15 PM. Just hope we can keep power here. We have family in Tallahassee, so we're hoping for the best for them.

Daughter lives in Asheville amid rising waters. She said the biggest problem will be drinking water because most everyone has a well and all the s%$it will be filtering cecpools and wells.

It is hard for me to understand what happened in Asheville. I hope the recovery is moving forward quickly and the area can rebuild and people can get back to their normal lives.
