As luck would have it, and all being well, we will be in the BVI that weekend (on a bareboat cat). I like old boats and sailboat racing, but my crew may disagree.

Should I push to be at JVD the night of the 24th? How are the crowds? Will moorings be scarce? What size boats? What courses do they run? So many questions....

Any insight would be helpful.

Thanks

Courses depend on the weather. We tend to run up the shore towards Sandy Cay, and over and back to Great Thatch.

I doubt the moorings demand will be greater than usual. We'll have vessels from 25 ft on up. If you want to race your cat, all comers are welcome. westendyachtclub at gmail dot com.
