Bistrot is as good as ever delivering great Caesar salad, soup, entre and chocolate dessert effortlessly.

We have never been Caribbean lobster fans but often got it at Bistrot because they center on it.

No more. Our middle of the road lobster cost over 200 Euros, doubling the cost of our meal over $400 USD.

That same meal might have touched $200 in the past but we opted for a cheap screw cap wine in the 30s and the filet was only 41 euro.

We may be back, but we will avoid the tough/dry Caribbean lobster tank which probably has the nickname “French 401K”

The meal was great but we feel like we should of had our solar calculator and asked for the smallest lobster on the island.

Nowhere did we see the market price per pound or kilo on a chalkboard

Sounds like some good and bad! Question, did they not ever explain the pricing even during getting your check? Like 10€/100g or so you got a 4.5lb Lobster, which is sorta big. I also don't prefer the Caribbean lobster vs Maine (not as sweet IMHO).

Glad the rest of the dinner was a hit! Hope to visit in November.

No, they have a new guy since our last visit grabbbing and weighing. He mumbled something and took our pic with our camera. I knew it would be more than 2021 but geez/louise. 5/1 ratio of lobster/beef cost.

I guess I should have had my green eyeshade and did dome ciphering but there weren’t any smaller lobsters to pick and we were #1 for the night.

Caribbean lobster used to be something you got at a beach bar from a local who grabbed and they charged $20 bucks.

I’ll fly to Maine for a week and drive around for lobster or go to Sam’s Club………..just dont see the value proposition but obviously everybody is paying because the tank was empty in August slow season at the end of the night.

We didn’t hit the Lolo’s to see what they would charge, we skipped them this trip for the first time.

Since you had wine, salad, soup, dessert and another entree what was the euro cost of just that lobster?

When we were there last in Oct., the euro per kilo was posted on the blackboard with the specials outside the door.
