Mea Culpa – Back in the spring we had a wonderful trip to Ireland. It was a very memorable two weeks as we explored the Green Gaelic Gem and researched my family’s past. Unfortunately, when we returned, I started my trip report but never finished. While enjoying Beerman’s report on his recent trip to the BVI, I became motivated to finish. I promise to finish in the coming weeks. Come along as we explore Ireland – the Land of Leprechauns, Legends and our Family’s Past Enjoy!

Nice reports Tom! My ancestry search on my fathers side connects me with the Elliott clan of County Donegal, Ulster Province. My great great great maybe x4 grandfather (1758-1815) reportedly joined the British and came to visit. He met Hanah from Wales in Maryland and they settled in the Catoctin Mountains of Maryland. Doing the research is not easy and confusing!
